- 1993
- Husein Žibanović founded Elcon in the garage of his family home.
- Machinery equipment consisted of one CNC lathe and a CNC mill.
- Elcon is involved in manufacturing parts for cinematography and medical engineering with client in Germany
- 1996
- The control department is established, and the first triple-coordinate measuring device is bought.
- 1998
- Elcon establishes another facility - and from 1998 is located at two addresses with its head office and production centre remaining at the family home, whereas the other facility and the production location is situated approx. 150 m from
the company's head office.
- Elcon employs 15 people.
- The machinery plant is increased to 7 CNC lathes and 3 CNC mills.
- The market expands to include customers from Austria, and parts including optical instruments and mechanical engineering.
- 2001
- The company moves to newly-constructed premises with other 2,000m2 of office and manufacturing premises and accounting for 30 employees.
- The machinery plant increases to 15 CNC lathes and 5 CNC mills.
- Elcon receives the Golden Kuna award for the most successful company in the region in the 50-employee category.
- 2002
- The assembly section begins operation, and besides manufacturing parts, Elcon now offers installation of assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Elcon is able to offer surface protection of parts, in cooperation with a number of other suppliers.
- 2005
- Elcon invests in the first 5-axis processing centre for lathing and CAM software, where the manufacturing ability and quality is raised to another higher level, and can now offer 3D milling.
- The market expands to buyers from the USA, France, England, Switzerland and Slovenia.
- 2007
- Elcon gains the status of Gazelle - one of the fastest growing small and medium-sized companies in Croatia.
- 2008
- A 3D CMM measuring device is purchased, whereby the quality control product department now includes 3 employees, and obtains another role and higher quality.
- Investment is made into CAM software, and a department is established for programming CNC processing centres using CAM software, amounting to 3 employees.
